An unbiased critique of recent carbon accounting reports relating to Local Authority collection systems. The role of accounting for environmental benefits of local authority recycling systems within more general local authority KPIs for carbon accounting.

National Household Hazardous Waste Forum

The NHHWF autumn seminar "Business Waste: Have WEEE got it sorted?" will focus on small business household hazardous type waste. The event will take place on at the Central Research Laboratory, Oxford with the support of the BREW Centre for Local Authorities.

Speakers include the Federation of Small Businesses on how to educate SMEs regarding their obligations and a case study from Changeworks on collection of SME IT waste in Scotland. West Sussex will highlight how they have arranged to accept SME wastes at their local authority facilities and Defra will provide an update on the implementation of the Batteries Directive.
