Brighton and Hove
Environmental Education
Resource Futures is delighted to be working in partnership with Sussex Wildlife Trust to deliver a new Environmental Education programme for schools in Brighton and Hove. This three year project is funded by Brighton and Hove City Council.
Input is free to schools, and will include:
- Twighlight teacher training sessions on a range of environmental themes
- Support for schools in working for Eco-Schools awards
- A high-profile conference for pupil Eco Action Teams to celebrate successes and share expertise
- Workshops and assemblies to develop pupils' understanding of 'One Planet Living'
- Visits for pupils to local sites of biodiversity, including Stanmer Park and the Downland
- Support with developing individual school grounds
- Establishing and developing links between schools, and with local community groups
- A designated website with downloadable resources and toolkits
- Regular e-newsletters
