e-Learning resources to buy
Resource Futures can develop e-Learning resources which can be easily incorporated into your own website, or delivered on CD-Rom, allowing you to promote and spread your message in a persuasive and highly interactive format that everyone can view.
Our e-Learning resources are suitable for local authorities or private companies wishing to promote recycling or energy saving, and can be used to complement your existing in-house education programme. Alternatively they can be developed in conjunction with an education project delivered in schools by our team of education officers.
Our online resources are designed by teachers and e-Learning specialists who can draw on a wealth of sustainability knowledge and experience from across the company. They can be designed to promote your specific campaign (such as the recycling and waste collections in your area, or carbon management). In addition they can be combined with ‘off-the-shelf products’, which can be tailored to be area-specific, whilst keeping costs down.
The resources are developed and delivered rapidly to you - so you will not be waiting around for months or have huge development costs.
Your online resources will be designed to meet your technical needs and desired use, and come in a format which is easily added to your existing website. We produce the resources in Flash, a format which works on 99.9% of web servers.
We will work with your website provider or Learning Platform administrator to ensure that everything works smoothly.
Resources can also be provided in the form of SCORM compliant courses if tracking learners and outcomes is important to you.
What do we provide?
Our online resources are interactive and designed to engage children and families in order to achieve specific outcomes, such as increasing their recycling or reducing their energy use or waste.

You can choose any of the following options when creating a brief for your resources, or let us know what you want to have included in your package and we'll do our best to fulfill your requirements:
Character guides
An on-screen character to guide children through a set of activities is very beneficial in the retention of information through e-Learning. *meyer

These characters (pedagogical agents) are used to teach subjects and concepts and will provide your projects with a strong identity. You can expand their use to promote your campaign more generally, for example on worksheets, posters, in newsletters etc.
We can work with an existing character or create one for you. Audio can be added to your resources transforming your character into an engaging channel of communication.
Diagrams packed with written descriptions, photos and video
Showing children what happens to the things they recycle, or how they can save energy in their home or school, helps them feel more involved and engaged.

Photos and video make it real for them, and the interactive nature of the resources makes it fun and puts children in control of their learning.
We have generic versions of some recycling processes which can be added to your online resources package at low cost, or we can tailor these processes to add facts and pictures which relate directly to recycling in your area (for an additional fee).
Online Quizzes
Quizzes can be added to your online resources package at low cost whether you choose a generic version, or have one tailored to add facts and pictures which relate directly to your project.

The question types can be as varied as you like e.g. a mixture of multiple choice, true or false or drag and drop the answers.
Our quizzes are written by teachers who are used to gauging the level of student understanding of a subject, and can be differentiated according to ability levels if required. In fact we can provide multi-level branching and navigation to support differentiation and individual learning pathways. For example children can choose between easy, medium and hard difficulty levels and experience the appropriate learning materials for their ability.
Information and facts on your chosen topic which are accessible to children
Using a mixture of photos and illustrations we present the facts you wish to promote in a manner designed to engage with your target audience or the age of child you are aiming to engage e.g. KS1 or 2

Family activities
Family-orientated activities can be used to facilitate and promote the behaviour outcomes your project wishes to achieve (e.g. higher recycling rates, carbon reduction etc.)
Through our many years of experience delivering sustainability and waste education programmes in schools, we have developed a range of educational activities which children can carry out at home as an extension to their learning. Many of these can be adapted to work as part of an online package.

Competitions to promote the aims of your campaign
You can use your online resources to promote any competitions you may be running in conjunction with your project. Our company is extremely experienced in running various sustainability campaigns and engaging with the general public, and our education team has run numerous competitions in schools to promote increased recycling, reduced waste and energy savings.
