Resource Futures worked in partnership with Bristol City Council, Green Path Solutions and Sustainable Redland to help Bristol Primary schools reduce their energy usage. The key messages were why saving energy is so important to help the environment and save money and how everyone can do their bit to help.
The Devon Composting in Schools project, delivered by Resource Futures, was possibly the biggest schools' food waste composting programme in the country, involving over 80 Devon primary and secondary schools.
The Zero Waste Challenge (2009-2010) was set up for schools in Teignbridge district and was run by Resource Futures in partnership with the District Council. It proved very successful with all schools reducing their waste and receiving information about the 3Rs.

Between 2007 and 2009 Resource Futures worked with Bristol City Council and their contractor to pilot the collection of food waste and cardboard from schools for in-vessel composting, and to roll collections out to most schools in the city.
Resource Futures' Composting in Schools Project supports a school to divert 2½ tonnes of food waste from landfill in one year.
