Sam was a founding Director of Resource Futures in 2006 and has been instrumental in the development and success of the company since that time. He took over as CEO in April 2016. He has always held the belief that successful businesses no matter how big or small can have a positive impact socially and environmentally. One of his first actions as CEO was to get the company accredited to the B Corp movement. A movement for profit making organisations which are redefining success in business. He leads the company to maximise positive impact by working collaboratively with its customers through evidence gathering that is robust; insight that provides answers and facilitates change; and engagement that achieves lasting positive behaviour change.

Expertise

Sam has over 16 years’ experience in the sustainability field working in central and local government before entering the consultancy sector. Sam has overseen some of the biggest data gathering and analysis projects in the public sector over the past 10 years. He has worked on developing partnership across public, private and third sector organisations to collaboratively solve operational problems and improve performance and outcomes for all partner organisations. He was part of the drafting panel for BS1 8001: A Framework for the implementation of the principles of the Circular Economy in organisations. He is an advocate for more transparency and better use of data across the resource and waste management value chain. His expertise includes:
