Resource Efficiency for SMEs

Resource Futures has recently carried out work for the East Midlands Development Agency, facilitating and project managing a campaign to raise the awareness of resource efficiency within SMEs. We promoted regional the new resource efficiency services provided by Business Link in the East Midlands to the key industry sectors of construction, food and drink, agriculture and healthcare.

The initial stages of this work included research into local SME behaviour towards, and knowledge of, resource efficiency, and SME drivers to action. In response to SME testing panel results, we developed strong messaging on the financial benefits of good business practice, rather than guilt, to drive home the environmental message and achieve positive response.
