Laura is an expert in the variety of waste functions of local authorities, having previously worked in waste management for local government for well over 10 years. Her background encompasses project management, delivery of service changes, waste collection contract management, waste communications and waste procurement. she has worked with various Local Authorities in Wales, delivering training on chargeable waste services on behalf of the Welsh Local Government association, and has undertaken an operational review for Belfast City Council. She has also delivered bring site and HWRC reviews for Local Authorities in England and Wales and is using her public service waste procurement knowledge to undertake a waste transformation programme for a local authority in Northern Ireland.
Laura has over 13 years’ local authority experience which has included planning and implementing a wide range of waste collection service changes, delivering multi-million pound waste procurement contracts, implementing behaviour change projects, delivering council-wide waste communications projects, contract management and working with the voluntary and community sector to deliver waste re-use projects.
