Poppy has two year’s experience in the waste and resources sector. As a highly numerate Physics graduate of the University of Bristol, Poppy specialises in data analysis, spatial analysis and quantitative report writing for a range of public, private and third sector contracts. Poppy joined Resource Futures in 2016 after volunteering for Friends of the Earth, having provided specialist computational knowledge for their GIS-based Defend Nature campaign.
Poppy has built analytical experience through the development of a range of projects throughout the United Kingdom focussing on analysis of waste and recycling and HWRC modelling. These include spatial analysis and mapping, using GIS software for HWRC optimisation, and complex analysis of tonnage and financial data, to advise on the network of HWRCs provided as well as operational changes that can help to achieve higher recycling rates for local authorities.
