Having worked in the sector for nearly 20 years, Simon has a wealth of knowledge around community development and capacity building. He has proven expertise in developing working partnerships between the public and voluntary sectors, regularly delivering training and workshops around the UK. Working on one of our long-term projects, Simon is an experienced project manager with a wide range of skills, from mediating between the needs of local authorities and residents, to fundraising and producing training materials. He also has responsibility for developing our wider community work and representing the Company on national bodies such at the Low Carbon Communities Network.
Simon Kenton manages the Community Action Group (CAG) Project in Oxfordshire, a network of over 50 voluntary groups at the forefront of community-led climate change action, organising events and projects to take action on issues including waste, transport, food, energy and biodiversity. The CAG team offers hands-on, day-to-day help and advice for groups, and supports the Network to grow. Simon is also a Senior Consultant specialising in community work and behaviour change at a national level for the Company.
