Earlier this month, Resource Futures, in collaboration with media partner Resource Media, hosted its inaugural event in Bristol. Over fifty delegates attended the conference to hear top industry speakers discuss the implications of the Regulations and to participate in workshops that examined the practicalities.
Phillip Ward and Jane Stephenson, Chair and CEO, respectively, of Resource Futures co-chaired the sessions whilst Sam Reeve, Resource Futures Operations Director on presentation duties focusing on sampling and robust data.
The MRF Regulations event was the first of planned number of niche events that the company will deliver with a chosen media partner. Frequency and topic choice will be driven by the industry’s need to challenge and unpick specific issues that are driving progress.
The session on ‘What MRF regulations mean for the supply chain’ came out top in delegates feedback with 100% rating the event as good or excellent. Delegates particularly liked hearing the industry perspective as well as the view from policy advisors which added quality and impact to the event.
“As an established business in the resource management industry, we felt the time was right to begin our own series of topical, punchy events that allowed for true debate and significant audience participation,” said Sam, “We plan to work with a number of industry media partners as and when we feel there is a crucial issue to address with the aim for each delegate to leave feeling informed. Our MRF Regulations event that we organised with Resource Media did just that.”
