Members of our team recently raised £310 for WasteAid through a sponsored walk. WasteAid UK holds regular sponsored 'Walks for Waste' to raise awareness and donations to support the valuable work they undertake around the world. As we couldn't make the 2017 walk up Scafell Pike we arranged our own 'Ramble in the Mendips' with six intrepid walkers enjoying a morning of spectacular Mendips scenery. We passed through the village of Mells - thought to be referred to in the nursery rhyme Little jack Horner, and visited the ruins of Fussells' Lower Works, now considered a site of major industrial archaeological importance and also used as a breeding site for horseshoe bats. Many thanks to everyone for their support and donations.
