Elena joined the behaviour change team as a Junior Consultant in 2019 and has over four years experience in the environment sector. With a BSc in Geography and Environmental Management from the University of West England, Elena has a keen interest in global environmental issues and is currently studying for an MSc in International Development at the University of Bristol. Elena’s experience, gained by working with numerous diverse public, private and third sector groups in the UK, India and Uganda has helped provide her with skills to engage and communicate with a variety of different people and networks. She is passionate about simplifying complex messages so that they are inclusive and informative to a wider audience, particularly messages surrounding reuse and circular economy.
Since joining Resource Futures, she has contributed to the delivery of a range of projects, supporting clients such as AkzoNobel and Zero Waste Scotland. Her previous role at Resource Futures as the Community RePaint Network Officer, meant she supported over 70 individual schemes across the UK to collect and distribute leftover paint, so that it could be used as a force for good in communities rather than wasted. This work regularly required responding to external enquiries, working with schemes to problem solve, and collate quarterly statistics to monitor and evaluate what the individual paint schemes are collecting and redistributing. Elena also has extensive experience in creating content for numerous social media channels.
Her expertise includes:
- Community engagement
