Laura is an expert in local authority waste services, having previously worked in waste management for over 10 years. Her background encompasses project management, service changes, contract management, communications and procurement. Since joining Resource Futures, she has worked with various Local Authorities in Wales, delivering training on the best practice approach of calculating chargeable waste services, and has undertaken an operational review for Belfast City Council to enable them to realise service efficiencies. She has also delivered bring site and HWRC reviews for Local Authorities in England and Wales and is currently using her public service waste procurement knowledge to undertake a waste transformation programme for a local authority in Northern Ireland.


Laura has over 13 years’ local authority experience which has included planning and implementing a wide range of waste collection service changes, delivering multi-million pound waste procurement contracts, implementing behaviour change projects, delivering council-wide waste communications projects, contract management and working with the voluntary and community sector to deliver waste reuse projects. Since joining Resource Futures in 2016, Laura has delivered various waste service projects with the WLGA, WRAP and a range of local authorities. Her expertise includes:
