
Profile
Sarah is a community development professional with over 24 years of experience. Having started volunteering the Trade Justice and Local Agenda 21 movements and Jubilee Debt Campaign following the completion of her International Relations and Development Studies degree, Sarah moved on to roles at the Council for Voluntary Services and set up and run a Worker Cooperative providing training and capacity building services for Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Sector.
Following this, Sarah developing a community waste and recycling project called ‘The Rubbish Diet’ across six London boroughs and managed an Environment Centre in Wales. She has been a trustee for local and national organisations, including on of Scotland’s largest grant making charity.
Outside of work you can find her wandering in woodland and forest in Devon as well as training to be a Shinrin Yoku practitioner (the Japanese practice of Forest Bathing).

In her role Sarah supports and develops community groups, helping them to be more effective in running their projects and helping people to feel better connected, stronger in dealing with challenges and able to reduce their community’s impact on the planet. Her skillset includes:
