Careers

Good people help us grow and deliver our goals. Join our talented team and benefit from value and purpose in your work.

We’re an employee-owned, purpose-driven company working to achieve a world where everyone uses resources sustainably.

Our work is varied and stimulating: from supporting businesses and councils to understand their waste and boost their recycling, to researching policy options for government, and working with schools and communities to change behaviour, cut food waste or run a repair café.

Working with us brings its personal rewards including company ownership, up to 7% employer contribution to an ethical pension and a generous learning and development budget, with dedicated L&D time for each employee.

Inclusion in employment is important to us and we strive to attract a workforce that reflects the population of the areas we work in. We will consider and fairly assess your application whatever your background.

“We are an equal opportunities employer, welcoming applications from all, and we will always seek to consider flexible working options if appropriate. In recruiting, hiring, developing and promoting employees, we treat everyone equally irrespective of sexual orientation, gender (including sex, marital status or gender reassignment), marital or civil partnership status, age, disability, colour, race, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, and place an obligation upon all employees to respect and act in accordance with this policy.”

We are Disability Confident and committed to recruiting, retaining, and developing people from the widest possible pool of talent.

Working for Resource Futures

A rewarding and welcoming place to work

Working at Resource Futures is different. You’ll be treated with trust and respect and can enjoy the flexibility of working for an employer who understands that sometimes life just doesn’t work around a 9-5 job.

Everyone is encouraged to contribute to the development and growth of the company. Our internal Consultative Group of employees represent the needs and views of staff to our Executive team. We are employee owned – not a shareholder in sight! – which means you can make suggestions about how the company is run and how our profits are distributed.

We are continuously learning together and love to collaborate. We hold lunchtime briefings to share learning, we offer professional coaching and we support and encourage employees to attend conferences and seminars to help their professional development.

Our team are based across the country in Bristol, Devon, Oxfordshire, Leeds, Essex, Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow, and our much-loved bi-annual staff days bring everyone together to connect, share and learn from each other.

We’re a friendly bunch and you will be warmly welcomed. Many of us love to travel, cycle, grow food and support a whole range of charities.

All about purpose

We are big on ethics and social responsibility. We’re proud to be part of the B Corp movement, taking an ethical approach to business to make a positive difference in the world and to the communities we live and work in.
