About the role
This is an exciting opportunity that doesn’t come around often, to join a leading consultancy in a strategic management position with a chance to be considered for a seat on the Board of Directors after 12 months. We are looking to build on our success in supporting organisations to improve resources and waste services and are recruiting a new Head of Service position. You will have proven experience and excellent commercial focus on supporting national and local Government, commercial organisations and the third sector in aligning their services with the Resources and Waste Strategy and the fast-evolving area of responding to the climate emergency. We are looking for a highly self-motivated, commercially minded and innovative individual who is an excellent communicator at all levels.

You will head up the Resource and Waste Services consultancy delivery area. You will engage with external and internal stakeholders including Resource Futures’ whole client base. You will have responsibility for the management of the following consultancy work streams:
- Waste Services Optimisation – UK focused support around municipal (household and non-household) resources and waste infrastructure services.
– UK Policy & Strategy, assessment and planning (Resources and Waste Strategy)
– Service procurement and performance management
– Collections: kerbside, HWRC & bring banks
– Treatment: residual, dry recycling & organics
- Evidence – the gathering of quantitative and qualitative primary data through fieldwork predominantly utilising the companies bank of casual employees.
– Waste composition analysis, participation monitoring, material flow audits & surveys.
You will hold a place on the Executive Team which is the day-to-day operational leadership team responsible for the management and development of the company.

Head of Resources and Waste Services
Contract: Full time (37.5 hours per week), Permanent
Location: Ideally based in our Head Office in Bristol. You will be required to travel regularly and extensively in the UK as well as Internationally.
Salary: £45,000 - £70,000 pa dependent on experience
