ISWA marine litter report

7 October 2017

Our Principal Consultant, David Lerpiniere, has recently been involved in developing the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) Marine Litter Report.

This report primarily explores how the waste and resource management sector can better tackle marine plastics and addresses many sources of marine litter ranging from dumping to micro-plastics. The report looks at the various pathways waste travels along to reach the marine environment, detailing rivers, drainage systems and sewers overflow amongst others.

ISWA has also produced a short introductory video to the issue of marine waste. You can find out more about the work of the ISWA Task Force on the ISWA website.
