Profile

Doug has extensive experience developing and delivering multi-disciplinary sustainability strategies and planning policies for the Mayor of London and with local authorities, helping to cut waste, boost recycling performance, and accelerate transition to the circular economy. 

He has collaborated with industry to bring forward strategic waste infrastructure projects in London (AD, MRFs, Recycling, EFW, Biodiesel) helping to grow London’s waste recovery economy, decarbonise energy systems, and foster materials innovation and circular business development. Doug is also a sustainability trainer, designing and delivering accredited circular economy training for businesses and local authorities to uplift their capability and embed circularity across their business functions delivering tangible benefits.

Doug has extensive London, UK, EU, and New Zealand waste management and climate change knowledge with a global network. Having worked in both the public and private sector at opposite ends of the globe, Doug works across Resource Futures’ circular economy, waste strategy, policy, and behaviour change service areas helping city governments, local authorities, and organisations to adopt innovative sustainable waste management solutions.
