Profile

Kate has over 20 years’ experience in environment and sustainability working in the UK and internationally with organisations in the private, public and not-for-profit in a wide range of sectors. She has worked in-house and for a range of sustainability consultancies, from small boutiques to large international firms.

In 2024 Kate became chair of the board of directors at Resource Futures, taking over from Jane Stephenson.

Expertise

Kate is a freelance sustainable business advisor, working with companies to help develop and implement sustainable business strategies and to communicate with stakeholders effectively. She has previously worked at consultancies including DNV and Deloitte, been seconded to the World Economic Forum, worked in-house for EDF Energy, and for an international charity.

Kate is a Honorary Teaching Associate at the University of Bristol working as a teacher and mentor on the Environmental Consultancy module, part of the MSc Environmental Policy and Management course. She is also a member of the Advisory Board for Catalyse Change, a Bristol-based social enterprise supporting girls and young women to develop sustainability skills, knowledge and careers.

Kate is a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability.
