Ruth Leonard-Williams

CAG Devon Project Officer

Profile

Ruth is a CAG Devon Project Officer working on the Together for Tomorrow Project, a partnership with Libraries Unlimited to deliver a National Lottery funded programme focused on linking libraries with community groups taking action for climate and nature.

Ruth has previously managed a range of sustainability projects – mainly in the not-for-profit sector – for charities, local authorities and community enterprises. This included working as CAG Devon Coordinator for Resource Futures between 2016-19 and managing the latest round of the Transition Town Totnes ‘Transition Streets’ project.

With a degree in Psychology and MSc in Environmental Science, Ruth is interested in the place where these areas meet and how they can support and motivate people to take collective action for nature and wellbeing.

In her spare time Ruth is part of a regenerative land collective with eight families that has transformed a five-acre field into a forest garden, wildflower meadow, woodland and vegetable plots.
