Sarah joined Resource Futures as a Senior Consultant in the Waste Strategy team. Her experience includes waste flow modelling, national waste data reporting systems and advising local authorities on waste collection service changes. She helps to address waste management issues through benchmarking and best-practice review, providing evidence-based research and by identifying efficiencies within a service profile. Sarah has a first-class degree in Mathematics and a PhD in environmental modelling. This scientific training has provided her with the skills to quickly understand and manipulate complex datasets and to communicate findings and context clearly.
Expertise
Sarah has over eight years’ experience in an environmental consultancy role, providing data analysis, financial modelling, and quantitative report writing for a range of public and private contracts. Through use of WRAP’s Kerbside Analysis Tool (KAT) and bespoke models, she has supported numerous local authorities in identifying operational and financial savings in their waste and recycling collection services. Sarah has also helped councils understand the implications of the government’s Resources and Waste Strategy and the possible effects of the introduction of a Deposit Return Scheme (DRS).
