Budding circular businesses invited to ‘Meet the Market’

25 January 2024

Zero Waste Scotland on behalf of Scottish Enterprise is looking for circular entrepreneurs and businesses to take part in its FREE Meet the Market Programme.

If you’re a Scottish entrepreneur or business keen to embrace the circular economy, and you want to see if your product or service has market potential, this opportunity is for you.

You’re invited to take part in one of the in-person workshops where you’ll meet with circular economy experts who will assist you in developing your circular ideas with your customers in mind:

  • Meet the Market Glasgow workshop – Thursday 15 February (event passed)
  • Meet the Market Edinburgh workshop – Tuesday 19 March: register

You’ll then be offered the chance to practice pitch your ideas to a panel of interested people. The 2.5 hour-long panel sessions will serve as practice runs to obtain feedback from a customer perspective to help develop your proposition and build confidence in your idea.

  • Meet the Market Glasgow panel session: will take place between 26 February and 1 March 2024 between 9am-5pm.
  • Meet the Market Edinburgh panel session: will take place Monday 25 March or Tuesday 26 March between 9am-5pm.

Why attend?

  • Gain confidence in your circular business value proposition.
  • Ability to test your product or service pitch and gain insights from a customer perspective.
  • Share experiences with like-minded people.

We are also seeking individuals and businesses across the UK to take part in online customer panels and provide feedback to support the development of sustainable UK-based products and services. For panel members, this is an opportunity to gain insights into circular products and services being developed in the UK and provide feedback to entrepreneurs on their ideas/products/services to help them understand the needs of customers. Panel members will receive £50 for each panel session. Find out more and apply.
