Profile
Holly joined Resource Futures in February 2024 and works in the Policy workstream.
Before joining Resource Futures, Holly worked at the Scottish Youth Parliament in Policy and Public Affairs, gaining valuable experience in participative decision-making processes and stakeholder engagement. She conducted policy consultation and advocacy work across multiple policy areas, including Scotland’s Circular Economy Bill. To support campaign delivery, Holly has experience in research methods including nationwide surveys, focus groups, and interviews. Her analysis produces impactful reports and productive meetings to influence decision-makers.
Holly studied for a master’s in international environmental policy and governance at the University of Edinburgh, receiving a distinction grade. For her dissertation, she created an analytical framework to provide a justice analysis of urban nature-based solutions in European cities.
Her passion for climate justice has extended to volunteer roles, including as the Head of Climate Action at Climate Culture, a film festival focused on the impact of storytelling to lead to system change. In addition, she was a member of the UNFCCC COP working group at the UK Youth Climate Coalition ahead of COP27, where they campaigned for a Loss and Damage Fund. She represented the group in national and international forums, working with coalitions of NGOs and national representatives concerned with climate justice.
