Lloyd Howell

Junior Consultant

Profile

Lloyd began working with Resource Futures as a field operative and site manager, moving into his current role as a Junior Consultant across Waste Strategy and Behaviour Change at the start of 2025.

His background is in Human Geography, in which he holds a BA and Msc from the Universities of Swansea and Bristol respectively. Through these programmes he developed comprehensive qualitative and quantitative research skills, focussing particularly on experimental modes of primary research into the material affects of the more-than-human. This led to theses exploring algorithms as socio-technical intermediaries in online communities, and novel mapping techniques as a mode of critical investigation in urban space.

His technical skills and aptitude are bolstered by extensive experience working with digital mixed-media and audio production in music and art. He has also worked in sustainable hospitality and events, including engaging audiences with environmental awareness campaigns and recycling practices at events and festivals. He strives to shape a world that is for people and for planet, and is driven by the challenge of communicating environmental issues in a way that can effect positive change at critical mass.

Lloyd’s experience across academia, arts, and public engagement bring rigour, creativity and warmth to the work he does.
