Resource Futures and Dsposal join forces to improve use of data intelligence in resources and waste
22 January 2025
Partnership between leading waste composition specialist and circular economy technology firm looks to harness transformative potential of data in the sector.
Resource Futures and Dsposal have agreed a formal partnership that will see them combine resources and teams to further their ambitions to transform the use of data intelligence in the waste and resources sector. This will initially see the four-person Dsposal team join Resource Futures on a six-month secondment.
Dsposal is an award-winning software and data company focused on the resources and waste sector. Dsposal researches, designs, builds and delivers best-in-class software and data solutions to real world problems. Dsposal focuses on researching and understanding user needs, analysing and improving processes, and designing and creating innovative tech that delivers powerful results to transform organisations.
Resource Futures and Dsposal have collaborated on numerous projects over the past few years. Current projects together include developing a waste data modelling tool for ReLondon and updating the Monitoring and Evaluation tool used across Resource Futures’ communities-focused work.
“Just as data is becoming an increasingly powerful enabler in working towards a cleaner, less wasteful society, data innovation and intelligence plays an increasingly crucial part of the work we do at Resource Futures,” explains Sam Reeve, CEO of Resource Futures. “We remain the preferred partner leading many of the UK’s largest waste composition analysis projects; this data gathering expertise is a perfect complement to the technical innovation we will be developing with Sophie, Tom and the rest of the Dsposal team.”
“Since our launch in 2018 we have been committed to innovating to support the Circular Economy with a focus on compliance and data”, says Sophie Walker, co-founder and CEO at Dsposal. “We’ve built a strong relationship with Resource Futures based on shared values. As a mission driven company, we believe we can really maximise our positive impact by combining our technical expertise with the deep industry knowledge of the Resource Futures team and we’re all excited about what we can achieve together.”

The partnership between Dsposal and Resource Futures comes on the day that the latter has rebranded, with a vibrant new brand identity focused around its three core areas: consultancy, communities and data.
“The way we work is evolving, the type of projects we’re taking on is evolving, and the people and skills we have across the company are evolving too,” notes Sam Reeve. “We wanted to rethink how we talk about our work and ensure that our communications reflected these developments.
“Today, we present a new look and feel for Resource Futures, backed by the dedication, expertise and engagement our clients and partners have grown to trust in our team.”
