Jacob Redfern

Junior Consultant

Profile

Jacob joined Resource Futures with a wealth of experience in communications and design across a range of audiences, coming from a career in post-production. After retraining in sustainability for business with the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment, he has delivered research-led, sustainability advice to small businesses, from carbon calculation and mitigation to progressive social policies.
He completed his MSc in Wildlife and Conservation Management with SRUC (Scotland’s Rural College) in 2025, giving him a firm foundation in the ecological processes that are threatened by the biodiversity and climate change crises. His dissertation focused on perceptions and preferences of urbanites toward rewilding, developing skills in qualitative analysis, stakeholder engagement, and research design.
Jacob’s technical expertise in coding for data analysis allows for the confidant processing of large datasets, and aesthetic, intuitive visualisation of data.
